Diary: The Day After…

Congratulations America, you survived two years’ worth of yet another round of presidential elections. Yesterday, we headed out to the polls, filled in a bunch of circles, and elected the next Most Powerful Man In The World. The results came in, speeches were made, whoops were heard, tears were shed.

There will be protests, some violent. There will be marches. There will be slapfights on social media, between enemies and friends. There will be demands of recounts, posts of suicide hotlines, Photoshopped images. And, in New York City (a liberal stronghold), there will be a suffocating silence of dread and fear for the inevitable changes to come.

…and life goes on.
